The Far Northwest Coalition (FNWC) met for its regularly scheduled meeting at the Northwest Library. Members present of the FNWC Board were John Best, John Murley, Joe Macomber & Rich Herner. The members were introduced to the residents on hand. Best advised the group that the City Attorney & the Columbus Zoo representatives on the agenda had cancelled and would not appear until next month.

Chris Lovett made a presentation to the FNWC concerning a zoning variance for property located at 7180 Linworth Road. The applicant is Kevin McMahon for HRE Builders and the property owner is Mark Morrison. The properties there are to have shared driveways but the title company for the sale of the property would not issue title since the driveway was not shared as platted. The variance request is to allow use of the drive and access as it was constructed. Lovett presented to the group, two different approvals from the City for the plans, as they were actually built, though that is not within the original zoning and setback requirements. The variance request is to allow a portion of the lot between the right-of-way and the parking setback to be paved for other than a necessary driveway and to allow maneuvering to occur between the street right-of-way line and the parking setback line. It is to go to the City for approval on May 22, 2007.

After considerable discussion by the FNWC, it was moved and seconded to approve the variance request for the property located at 7180 Linworth Road as presented; which would legitimatize the concrete maneuvering areas that were initially installed within the parking setback without prior zoning clearance. Motion passed.

There being no other business to come before the FNWC, the meeting was adjourned.
