Response to Not Opposed
Traffic concerns are probably the number one concern of Far NW residents. While I am not an engineer,it does not take a rocket scientist to intuitively know that now is not the best time to do this. FNWC does have an Engineer on its Board, Alan Kundtz, who I greatly respect and who voiced his displeasure with the timimg. If the professionals believe it is a critical need for safety purposes to do this, then I trust their professionalism. However, delay seems to be far better given the current amount of construction activity. Furthermore, if Columbus and Franklin County will work together on this for a long term solution and can do it in the next decade, then this project may be wasting taxpayer dollars, which is a concern. The purpose of this discussion is to see how people generally feel and attempt to discuss this and arrive at our community consensus. This message will go to various government entities to get their reaction and see if they are open-minded and flexible with this plan. If you continue to have a dissenting opinion, I respect that and invite you to address FNWC on June 30th at 7 PM at the NW Library. Participation in community civic groups is a grassroots government effort. I am but one voice and I hope to hear from many others. Group think is proven to be far superior to what either you or I think individually, so I hope you will come and add your input to our group discussion.
