April 2011 Minutes from the Far Northwest Coaliion (FNWC) are posted to this web site.  While residents are not against development of the north edge of Snouffer Road at Smoky Row, they are generally opposed to the proposed development for the following reasons.  One, the City of Columbus Northwest Plan page 12 calls for single family residential as the most appropriate use of these specific parcels.  Two, high density apartment development will only worsen an already well overburdened two lane Snouffer Road.  Residents also expressed concerns about crime, noise, goose dropping from the proposed pond(s) on the property.  What other concerns or issues do you see for this proposed development? 

Removal of St Peters alternative exit drive and ballfield loss will be detrimental to the church members and the diocese.  Everybody only having one egress point is crazy!  Has the Church Leadership really thought this thru?  What about the condition being foisted by the synagogue if this is approved?  Where is their conscience?  Is Church or Synagogue greed acceptable to their Church Members and to their God? 

I own the property on the corner of Smoky Row and Snouffer. I have lived there for 35 years. I have not been notified of the lastest proposal for this property I found out by accident on the 23rd of this month. I recieved a letter from the civic association on that day that my property is vacant and in disaray, and in review for demolition. I assure you this property has never been vacant and in disaray. We just added on to the front of our home this spring and have no plans of leaving. Again I have not been notified by the buyer of any proposed changes to the propery beside and behind my property. I am also insulted by the letter from the North West Side Civic association requiring my presence at the September 5th meeting at Saint Peters church to inform me my home is in review for demolition. Please stop in any time and have a look. my property is well kept. 6847 Smoky Row Road. My wife and I have been decimated by this letter and I would like an explanation soon! I called John Best yesterday, left a message and all I got from him was a plot plan of the new proposal. I asked for the reason I was not informed about this project and why I recieved a letter informing my home is in review for demolition.
