Wonderful neighbors, the Epley's

Posted in: Farley
I'm writing this for our wonderful neighbors, John & Faith Epley of Doris Drive. Anyone that knows them would understand the kindness they offer to others at the drop of a hat. Recently, they were forced to apply for a permit for John's business of auto repair due to his trailer being parked in his driveway. Anyone that has had John work on their cars, knows what a great job he does and is very affordable. Unfortunately he lost the permit application because of a member of our neighborhood board. Now he is forced to move his trailer. This is his family business. He works from home so that he can be with his family. I really feel that forcing him to move his trailer is not something that should be of concern to others. I and my husband, being a neighbor of theirs, appreciate all they do for us. He (and Faith) are wonderful neighbors and friends and to say to him that we are ''afraid'' of him is very disrespectful to him and us. Don't force others to change their lives because you, Pat, have nothing better to do with your time besides walk around and find things to pick at our neighbors for. Look for unmowed lawns, rude behavior, etc before forcing someone to relocate their business. Next time you need your car worked on, maybe you should call John. He would do a great job and would have no hard feelings toward you. That is just the kind of wonderful person he is. Not only are we losing a great mechanic but a great neighbor and family too. Thank you John & Faith for your kindness. They were the first neighbors we met when we moved here 3 yrs ago and they will be greatly missed.
Neighbors

I agree. I thought we had a VOLUNTARY association. If I wanted to live in a neighborhood with a mantatory association I would have moved elsewhere. Our neighbor drives a wrecker which he always parked in his own driveway, out of the way. He was told he had to move it also. Nobody ever complained and they are great neighbors. Almost to the point where I can't wait to retire and move out of state.
