My son, was walking down Carlsen around 8:00 this evening, he was near Girl School Road and a white car passed him. Then it stopped to turn onto G.S. My son did not want to walk up next to the car, so he cut into the yard their on the corner. My son wondered why he hadn't turned when traffic was clear, and became cautious of it. Then the passenger said to him, ''Hey, come here for a minute.'' My son said, ''I'm alright''. (teenage talk meaning no thanks) and cut back into the yard further. The car turned north on G.S. and my son cut deeper into the yards along G.S. The car passed and went on. After hearing about the 2 attempted West Lake Apts. abductions tonight on the news, we had warned him of this and he did the right thing. He doesn't have any specifics, except there were 2 people, the passenger was male, and they were in a white car, that looked like an undercover police car, probably 4 doors.
Make sure your kids no to be wise to this and I would hope that every house in this neighborhood would be a safe house for our kids to go to in a problem. I hope that if people see kids in their yards they would think to see if there is a problem vs. thinking it is a problem kid.
