I dont know about you guys, but I am tired of being interrupted during dinner because of door to door salespeople.  This week we had a very rude guy get very upset when we decided not to sponsor his product.  My neighbor also called and said she was harrassed when she said no.  The same people come thru this neighborhood constantly.  Do we have anything as a POA about soliciting?  I would like a sign at the entrance that states no solicitors welcome, if they ignore, then law enforcement will be called or I will just have to put up an old fashioned sign on the door.  I would think as a POA, this would be an issue that most people would support.  I know when I stayed home with my kids it was even worse, so any stay at home parents, I know it's aggravating.  When are the POA meetings so that I can discuss this issue?

Thanks,

 Joey

I agree, I don't like having the door to door sales people.  Sometime's theya re a scam, last year Larry signed up for a Christian magazine and it never came.  We'll never do that again.  Have you seen any neighborhoods with signage limiting these sales people?  If so, canyou let  me know where?  Or if you have ideas on how to curb this problem, I want to hear it.  I'm sick of these people.

Hi Joey, I don't think I posted this before, but the POA meeting are the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 at Marty Reeves house, next to Bob and Linda.  You (and anyone else) are welcome to come and if you have ideas on how to stop the solicitators we're all ears, except the girl scouts, I love their cookies! haha

We're meeting tonight if you want to come!

Sorry, I am just getting this today.  I agree there must be a way to keep out the door to door salespeople but allow our children to still actively sell their products for schools or clubs they belong too.  I have to have the girls scout cookies too!!  Honestly I dont know what we can do other than put up a sign at the front if we get enough signatures to support it.  Is that something I can do like start a petition?  If so, how many signatures do we need?

Thanks
