September Minutes reviewed with this correction: The owner at 8004 Harrodwood Ct. is requested to stop operating a business from their residence, not 8004 Huntsman Trl.
?“Notice to all: Please CLEANUP after your dog(s) as you walk them through the neighborhood!?”
Mr. Peden, District Representative, was in attendance. He stated that street paving in the neighborhood is finished and repairs to damaged curbs are underway. Mainly, he spoke about commercial development in the district. The old K-Mart building will have a high-end home entertainment store, hair salon, and ?“Buffalo Wild Wings?” as tenants. An out lot is also going to be built by the developer, who wants to see a ?“Starbucks?” and an ice cream shop. Peden is interested in attracting more restaurants to the area and would appreciate any suggestions or input regarding the matter. On another note, he mentioned that if you call Metro Call with a question or complaint regarding the district, you are assigned a case number but he does not automatically receive that message. Please call his office if you need him to address a situation.
Treasurer?’s Report ?– Presented by C. Sidebottom
?• See attached dues delinquency report.
?• Income was $6,570.68; Expenses were $4,695.25; Account Balance is $96,473.18.
Architectural Control Committee
?• There was no approval requests submitted.
?• If anyone is interested in handling the architectural approvals, the position is presently unoccupied. Please contact a Board Member if you wish to be nominated.
?• It was agreed upon that until the architect position is filled, homeowners need to submit any plans to their zone director. The plans will then be reviewed at the bimonthly homeowners?’ meeting.
Maintenance Committee
?• Gene Byrd was able to put a street sign back up that was knocked over by a large truck.
?• Grass seed was sowed in the median.
?• Estimates will be obtained for snow removal.
Old Business
?• Farm Gate Website is still under construction.
?• Installation of a ?“Deed Restricted Community?” sign at the Glaser Rd. entrance is complete.
?• The plastic mailboxes are due to arrive 11/23/05. Weather permitting; installation should start the following week. Due to installation costs, if a homeowner currently has the same plastic mailbox that is to be received and it looks nice, the new one will be placed in the yard and not installed. Any special requests regarding that matter need to be addressed to your zone director. The metal mailboxes are currently being fabricated and installation is expected to begin mid December. Their delay is due to a job that the company had to finish prior to working on the mailboxes. Old Boundary and Cabin Hill will be the last installations completed, since the mailboxes have to be moved to both sides of the street.
?• Neighbors have been very pleased with garbage service provided by ID. Please still consider switching your account to ID, so that the neighborhood can take advantage of lower rates. A free junk pick up has been scheduled for ID customers on Monday, December 19th.
New Business
?• It was suggested that the homeowners at 8203 Huntsman Trl cover their fountain in a more pleasing colored tarp, such as gray or dark green.
?• It is respectfully requested that the metal shed at 8504 Old Boundary be moved from the front side yard.
?• Holiday decorations will be put up by Gene Byrd and Cathie Sidebottom. The same budgeted amount from last year, $300.00, was agreed upon.
?• Budget will be discussed at later date. Currently, we are working under the same amounts established for the 2000/2001 Budget.
?• For those who owe dues, monthly payments may be made. Mail checks to FHA, PO Box 91115, Louisville, KY 40291.
?• Election of Treasurer to replace C. Sidebottom: Randa Murray was nominated, seconded and passed. She accepted the position.
Clerical Fees
?• It was motioned, seconded and approved to increase the fees by $50.00 bimonthly for the treasurer, secretary, and maintenance positions. Each position will keep track of hours and this will be reevaluated in 6 months. The president and zone directors will continue to receive an exemption from annual dues.
