Greetings neighbors,

I am building a case for a new landscaping company to come in to Saratoga and bring us beautiful common areas which we can enjoy every day of the year.

Did you know when we begin to contribute to the Master Assessment, our obligation will be $75/month per household. A portion of that maintains our common areas making sure the mulch is fresh, weeds are pulled, the turf is mowed and the plants are healthy. Have you looked at our common areas? In my mind they are a joke. When compared to surrounding communities, ours is an embarrassment.

Consider this the next time you drive through another development. Cordera pays $110 per month - a portion of that goes to the Community Center - their neighborhood landscaping is beautiful! Wolf Ranch pays $22 per month for the maintenance of their landscaping - theirs is also beautiful!  Pine Creek pays $57 per month - here is a resdient of Pine Creek "Our landscaping company is tooling around the neighborhood on a daily basis- they’re always working on something.  They do a great job!   Every summer a portion of our fence that backs to the golf course is being re-painted and every winter they’re out plowing the community sidewalks sometimes before I can get my own driveway done.  It also includes Christmas decorations (wreaths on neighborhood entrances and lights on trees) as well as a couple community parties each year (a holiday party and a summer picnic).  We also just had a neighborhood garage sale that gets organized and advertised for us.    Oh, it also includes common trash pick-up (we all have the same company) and recycling."

Do you think we are getting our monies worth????
