Neighborhood Tutoring Project
?• Volunteers are needed willing to commit two hours per week tutoring one or more elementary children in reading, math or both. We have both daytime and evening sites available in the neighborhood.
?• Project volunteer needed to help keep records current on active volunteer tutors and to do some phone calling to recruit new volunteers.

NRP Phase II Planning
If you have an interest helping develop the neighborhood Phase II Action Plan over the next 14 months (in one or more topic areas), please contact FRNNG. We will be discussing and planning projects in the areas of housing, business, youth, parks, education, community and safety, seniors, annual events, communications and more.

Block Leaders
FRNNG, working in collaboration with CCP/SAFE, has over 64% of the blocks in the neighborhood organized into block clubs who meet at least once a year. If your block isn?’t organized and you want to help get it organized - call the FRNNG office today.

Neighborhood Representative to 3PAC
A volunteer needed to attend Minneapolis 3rd Precinct Advisory Committee meetings, 4th Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m. and report back information to the bi-monthly neighborhood Block Leader meetings at McRae Park.

Communications
Close to Home newsletter
?• Layout editors (familiar with Quark Express) and copy editors are needed so we can spread the work of publishing the newsletter over more volunteers.
?• We also need block leaders or other volunteers willing to sell newsletter subscriptions door to door on their block. It?’s EASY and it?’s another way to meet your neighbors while helping sustain your neighborhood newsletter.
?• We need someone to help us sell or promote renewal of local business Close to Home newsletter sponsorships.

Board of Directors nominees
It?’s never too early to think about being nominated or nominating yourself as a candidate for open positions on the FRNNG Board of Directors in April. Call FRNNG for details.

Computer I.T. Specialist
From time to time the FRNNG Staff needs help with computer or Internet problems. A volunteer who could be called at those times could really reduce the stress.
