Hello all,
Just to let you all know there was a possible arson fire behind my home and others on Telescomb in the empty lot. It started around 6:00 am thismorning and burned about 200 feet of dead grass, weeds and bushes. There were numerous neighbors involved and I put out the fire due to Rural Metro's slow response. I had it out before the sherriff depatment was able to get there as well. The fire dept showed up on the east side of the property, we were on the west. They didn't even come over to us.
That is one of my main conserns. We pay over $500 a month for fire services and had the wind been blowing or the fire was to big for me to put out, someone would have lost a house today. Unacceptable.
THe other consern is this, this feild has been left for dead since I moved in in 2004. I have always had issues with the dead grass and easy access for anyone to get back there and do whatever. Now that fear is a reality. People have hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in their homes. Not to mention their belongings. Something needs to be done about this.
I have a call into Brett and am waiting for return call. I will update after speaking to him.
Thanks to the nieghbors who helped out and called the fire and sherriff departmens. Thanks to the neighbor who woke us up!! I feel the actions of everyone involved saved homes and possibly lives.
