Called to Order: 7:30PM

This is the first meeting of the new 2005 Board, welcome new Board members.

2005 General Meeting
Dates confirmed as follows and have been posted to the website and confirmed with the City for cabin reservations (Regan 667-2279).

???¡ Discussion to increase attendance at general meetings. More speakers. Invite other neighborhood association. When delivering flyers, knock on doors and invite neighbors to attend ?¡V ask them to ?¡?§join us?¡?¨ get them to the first meeting. At the meetings, do a good job of dealing with concerns and issues.

Review of Prior Meeting Minutes:
General November 16, 2004. Items needing to be followed up on:

1. Tom S. to contact Regan?¡?¦s or Dave Ream?¡?¦s offices to request a representative for update for Farmers Site at February General Meeting. Confirming in January.

2. Kari C. will contact Park Maintenance (or City Managers Office) asking for guidance and direction in order to obtain trash cans with lids, similar to the two concrete ones that are up by the cabin. Report for February General Meeting

3. Alfredo A. will contact park maintenance and invite to our next General Meeting to review with residents the maintenance, and future direction of the park. Confirming in January.

4. Barbara R will contact Parks and Recreation and/or the City Managers office to see if the City can replant the three trees, which have fallen over in the past three years. Report for February General Meeting.

5. Alfredo A. to contact the City to see if anything can be done to repair the damaged concrete and take steps in restoring the deteriorating bridge. Report for February General Meting

Guest Speaker(s) For Next General Meeting
???¡ Due to light agenda items from Board for the February General Meeting, discussion to have two or more guest speakers was entertained to inspire additional attendance at first general meeting of the year. Guest speakers will be confirmed this month and posted on General Meeting Flyer. Once speakers are confirmed, Tom will communicate meeting agenda to Floral, West Floral and Morrison Park Neighborhoods, to build communication between associations.

Schedule, Plan and Detail Next Social & Neighborhood Event
???¡ Discussion regarding direction of social events and the need to have additional neighbors assist in committees in order to execute the 2005 events. A couple folks on a committee taking little steps are much better than one or two carrying the burden of the entire event.
???¡ Board agreed that there is tremendous valued to these events even if attendance is low.
???¡ Additional conversation regard how to go about increasing participated at events and general meetings. Suggestions are welcome.

???¡ Dumpster Day has been schedule for Saturday, March 12, 2005, the weekend following garage sale weekend. Dumpster locations have been obtained for Sharon, River, and Memory. Still waiting on response from Jonquil and Park. The email network will communicate final home sites. Tom will coordinate with City and Dumpster the company.
???¡ City Contact Ms. Carlos 667-2226
???¡ Tom arranging flyer production through City. Alfredo will have flyers distributed to the entire neighborhood.

Police Report - Update for General Meeting
???¡ Police reports will be obtained bi-monthly. These are obtained from Officer Rodriguez. Tom will contact Santa Ana Police to obtain a current report. This will be reviewed at each Board meeting and updated at General Meetings.
???¡ Police representatives will be invited to give updates at General Meetings and answer questions for residents.

Membership drive
???¡ Discussion of holding a membership in March 2005.
???¡ Utilization of the existing membership brochure being distributed to each home.
???¡ Tom P. to champion project.
???¡ Tom S. to update the brochure with current Board Members and information. Diane to proof before production.
???¡ Fund Raising.

Welcome New Neighbors Packets
???¡ Discussion to enroll a local realtor to notify Diane (Board Member) when new neighbors more into our neighborhood. We will offer this service in exchange for a realtor flyer, writing tablet, or realtor purchased welcome gift to be inserted into the Fisher Park Welcome Packet.
???¡ Diane & Tom will facilitate this going forward
???¡ Diane to drop off New Neighbor Membership brochure to Alfredo and Tom.
???¡ Tom will reproduce document, since original was lost.

Com-Link Update
???¡ Discussion to have a Board member or resident attend the City?¡?¦s ComLink meetings was discussed.
???¡ Notes should be sent to Tom S. for distribution to the Board following the meeting via email, as FYI. Updates would be provided to the Neighborhood through the general meetings.
???¡ ComLink meetings are held 4th Thursday of ever month. The next three months Com-Link meetings will be attended by:

January 27 / Tom S
February 24 / Tom P & Diane
March 24 / Jerry, Jeff, or Rick

Other Neighborhood General Meetings
???¡ Discussion on attending other neighborhoods general meetings and inviting all neighborhoods to attend out. This outreach will be communicated to the other neighborhood leaders via email network.

???¡ Tom produced a yearly 12 month calendar with reminder dates for each board member that was distributed.
