Flaming Oaks Homeowner's Association (FOHA)

Landscape

What is the deal with all the weeds in our common areas? Don't we we have a landscape company that is to spray and cut our common area grass? Whoever is in charge of this job, should be removed. Our common areas look sick. All of the homeowners take great care of our yards, why cant the Association do the same. The way the common areas look now, only makes our neighborhood look low class. The enterance is the first thing that prospective buyer see. What are we telling them our community? Get someone who will go the job they are hired to.

Thank you for voicing your concerns. The others who have called or e-mailed were just as perplexed and concerned for the appearance of our common grounds along Porter Street, and we appreciate the voices. Pro Mow was contacted in March by this board, concerning the timing of applying weed killer along Porter. Ray Shaw of Pro Mow said they would apply it that week. After they applied it we received 8 inches of rain for the following three days, which washed away the chemicals. I called again in mid-April and was told that another application was to be put down. I recently learned that high winds precluded the second application and that we will have it applied by Saturday May 5th. We are also expecting the bundled tree limbs from the voluntary WEHA pruning to be picked up and the hedges at the entryway trimmed to below our signs. If you or anyone would like to volunteer to work with the Board on this or other issues, please contact us.
