Too many drunks

Response to all concerned

Hello neighbors!

First of all, thank you all for your interest in a neighborhood problem that affects us all and I apologize for not responding sooner.

I assume your concern is for the latenight spillover onto 16th St. from the Camden's Yard Bar and the local teens who tend to loiter around the corner of 16th and 30th Ave.

I myself have witnessed this activity from time to time, as well as, the speeding drunken drivers thru our neighborhood late at night and into the wee hours of the morning.

Officer Mike Roberts, LENA CPO, attends our monthly Crimewatch Meetings. With enough support and demand from concerned citizens like yourselves, we can apply some pressure on the establishments themselves and the SPPD
to better control the activities of these intoxicated troublemakers, ie;
drunk driver sting operations, undercover officers placed in the area, stepped up patrolling.

Please join other concerned neighbors at the next Crimewatch meeting on Sept. 13, @ 7pm, Norwood Baptist Church.

Also...if you are interested in joining Crimewatch we can sure use some more Block captains and neighborhood patrol volunteers. If you are interested in having your ideas, comments, viewpoints published in the LENA Newsletter, we welcome contibuting authors. Contact
Karen Hamilton, LENA Newsletter Editor.

Thank you for your interest in your Lake Euclid Neighborhood.
