The Traffic Committee will be having a meeting on Monday, January 28 at 6:30 pm at the Atlanta Bread Company. They have a small room that we can use as long as a few of us get a drink or a bite to eat. We will be discussing:

- Update on CVS traffic calming plan (currently in approval process at the City)
- City's Bike/Ped master plan (begin developing our position on where the trail should be in/around our neighborhood)
- Any other traffic initiatives that the the Committee would like to discuss

As with all NSNA Committees, membership is open to anyone who has an interest. Hope to see you there!

Traffic circle

Anything the committee would like to discuss!!! What about the real people who live in the neighborhood and not those anti-CVS'ers who can only think about ''me, me, me'' You represent a whole neighborhood in case you forgot. Think outside your foxhole.
Can we get something done about that traffic circle on 1st Street. Last week I was going to Golds for my morning workout and I got stuck in the circle. Round and round and round. I just couldn't get out. After about 30 min. a guy in a pick up truck bumped me, or I'd still be going around. This is terrible, what if I'd been on my way to the hospital, or the vets, or for a hair appointment? Can you talk about making the circles maybe square instead?
And that bump. Where do those traffic manics get off. Lou was driving down 1st last week - he hit the bump and didn't land until we were on 22nd Ave. What happened to the good old days. Can you talk about these issues that the citizens of NSNA are really concerned about rather than the drival you've listed. You are suppose to be a neighborhood association representing the neighbors not your own agendas that nobody cares about. So go to the atlantic bread company - get all jazzed up on your caffine and carbs. As for the bikes, so we already have a trail and all those demented bikers ride on the sidewalk - what's that about - ''passing on the right!!!'' LIKE I REALLY CARE - RIDE AROUND ME YOU HORSES PATUTE. Why not let walkers carry guns. Now that would stop them.
And why not do someting about the sidewalks? Does someone have to fall and kill themselves and poke their eye out before the traffic committee does something about it???
And what about all the trees whose branches hang too low? Does this committee care. I am going to sue the NSNA association for not taking care of these things.

Debbie, become active

Obviously, Debbie you do not know the first thing about the structure or goals of the neighborhood association. Since moving to Old Northeast 6 months ago I must say I have been impressed by the committees and all they have accomplished. Debbie, you really need to attend the Traffic meeting and dicuss your concerns. Perhaps, in a public forum you could get your concerns addressed. Look around you at all the great things the association has accomplished before blasting them for being the short sighted, in-fighting, group of directionless lemmings they are. They simply cannot help it, Debbie.

You're Invited

All members of the association or residents of North Shore are encouraged to participate in all meetings.

There is no reason for the foolishness or rudeness of your reply, ''Debbie.''
