What are people's thoughts about dogs in the park?

Dogs are great.......

In answer to your inquiry, dogs are great. I go down there to watch them quite often, since I cannot have a dog of my own (condo).

The only problems with dogs emanate from their owners. If thier owners do not discipline them or clean up their eliminations, then that is a problem. However, my observation has been that most of the dog owners who gather for play in the park are responsible. Most surprisingly, many of the "dirt" problems in the park are made by dogs who are being most appropriately walked on leashes by their owners! Truly startling.

parks are for people and were designed
to enhance man's pleasure with the natural world : guess what ? dog is man's best friend and dogs are more natural than bicycles and roller blades
and bowling on the beach. dogs belong in parks as long as they do not injure
anyone
