There has been no ''hand picking'' of board members by anyone. You know the truth, JC, and the truth is that it is hard to find anyone willing
to volunteer to serve on the board. So, when a volunteer comes along,
they are usually drafted asap.

By the way- just to balance things a bit here- how do you explain Steve's nomination of Nadine Smith to the board? Now there was a hum-dinger. Someone with known code violations and problems with our code rep, someone who was neck deep to profit several ways financially from the CVS deal, someone he had attended city meetings with about the CVS deal (unbeknownst to the rest of the board, of course), someone he had worked for, and someone who does not even live in the neighborhood!

I would use caution here. Ever hear of a boomerage?

I don't think the nomination for Nadine Smith came from Steve Lange. Please somebody, call Steve Lange to verify. If Steve nominated her, it was wrong because she does not live in North Shore.

No one should have code violations, especially a board member, no argument there.

Owning a property that is for sale should not be a conflict, should it?

I have said that no one should be on the board that stands to profit from their association with the board or NSNA. I am not speaking about a simple property owner. Someone that owns one property is a simple property owner. A person such as Nadine smith who owns many properties in north shore has too many potiential conflits to be a board member.

Steve Lange has worked with many people. Do you really think that is a conflict?

Be fair and consistent.
