No news is good news?

no news = ugly news

Could it be ''no news'' is hiding ''ugly news'' such as the hostile coup of the board leadership by a well-connected band of renegades!
A wake up call for NSNA members.

It would certainly seem that way. Could it be censorship of the news?

The only ousting of a President in neighborhood history is not newsworthy? The resignation of the editor who won a prize for the neighborhood newsletter goes unmentioned with no reason. The last minute construction of a board that is a puppet for the new president is not fit to print - even their names? It is little wonder that they dont' want to see their dastardly deed in print, or have their names and phone numbers associated with an act of such spite and personal vengance. What shame this act has brought on the NSNA and certainly those who committed it. !! The newsletter was not a poor attempt - it was a censored document, filled with recycled articles that we have all read before and ads - again, some for board members.

False Posting

This posting is false, and if you were posting truthful, informative information, you'd post your identity and stand behind your words. You underestimate the intelligence of NSNA members, who will not simply react to false statements and vitriolic rumors. No one censored the July edition of the newsletter. The editor of approximately the past 6 months resigned with no notice in June, leaving people to scramble to continue the newsletter production without any gracious transition period as provided by Editor Tim Baker in the past. Carl Lovgren volunteered and did the best he could do under difficult circumstances. The newsletter has evolved over years of work into an excellent newsletter, and the NSNA Board is working to insure that we return to the same quality. This topic will be discussed at the next Board meeting. Perhaps you'd like to attend, offer suggestions, maybe volunteer to do some of the work?
In addition, there was no ''last minute construction'' of a board. Due to members leaving the area or resigning, two board positions were filled as they have been historically when people resign in the midst of a term--by Board nominee and election. I was one of those people elected by the Board, and my allegiance is to the NSNA members as is Cynthia Serra's who is the other new Board member, not to Greg Burton. Other members of the Board pre-date Greg's Presidency. The lack of a listing of Board members in the June newsletter was an oversight, which will be corrected in the August edition, and any of us would love to here from any member of the association regarding concerns, questions. Note that my name and e-mail is provided with each of my postings, and I'd be happy to have a reasonable, honest dialogue with anyone who is interested.
Any one can advertise in the newsletter by paying the fee--the implication that there is something wrong with Board members placing an ad is false. They pay the same fee as anyone, and placing ads supports the cost of producing and mailing a 12 page newsletter at no cost to members monthly and to the entire neighborhood every other month.
Mr. Lange was not terminated as President out of ''spite'' or ''personal vengeance'', nor due to a conspiracy by people who opposed the CVS proposal. There was a prominent article in the St. Pete Times regarding the termination. No one I know who has empathy for Mr. Lange and who has the best interests of the NSNA in mind is interested in irrational false statements and in promoting warfare within the association.
