Good news for North Shore.

Last Friday morning I called Rob Wertz at work and left a message on his voice mail since he was unable to answer. I had called to ask about the completion and delivery of the Historic District Maps as Susan R. had suggested I do. Well, after leaving the message I went out the door and lo and behold I found a packet in my mailbox. Yep, you guessed it they are the completed maps.
That is great news for North Shore.

Sooooo, I went back in and made a second phone call to Rob thanking him for his work and completeing the maps and delivering them to my mailbox.

So, since I left that very morning on a two day business trip I could not deliver them to the Mayor. But rest assured the maps and the application will be delivered on Monday next.

This is great news.

Maps Delivered - Where to Next?

All;
Just to confirm ?– yes, the main set of maps for the National Register Historic District nomination has been completed and copies delivered to Steve Lange. I also took them through a final check against our list of contributing structures in the neighborhood to correct any remaining errors (and there were several which needed to be corrected). The city will review the entire document set and will have another round of edits to be made in the future; the state will also have review comments before final approval is granted. But the majority of NSNA?’s work on the document is done for a while. There is also a photo-locator map which I am working on now that will follow the application down to the city.
Steve ?– in your posting you talk about delivering this package to the mayor. Again I ask, Why? ?– the mayor has already received this package and the material really needs to go directly to the city staff (Bob Jeffrey / Rick Smith et al.). Why are we trying to gain an audience with the mayor over something he?’s already seen? And if so, shouldn?’t this be a formal transmittal from the Association with a cover letter from the president?
When the photo-locator map is completed I?’ll get copies out to Steve and bring it to the next board/general meeting like I did with the main map set. Thanks for your patience, -RRWj
