I just got back from the Sunshine Center so that I could have access to a computer. A neighbor had asked whether I had been keeping up with this site and he said that I should, as to really see for myself, what was going on.
I am one of your ''26'', as you so call us and am quite offended. I am offended for several reasons. One is the lack of truth, and second, your responses on the site. I read your postcard and now see why people are upset. Steve, who should buy then near 4th street? You are actually putting those citizens down for purchasing there. I would be very upset as well. Your other comment was pertaining to keeping people out- I also found out that you and your wife were the main ones to keep Discount Auto out. Why? You never answered those questions. How would you have felt if you had a home near there? I finally see the issue was not CVS but that of the rezoning beyond 150 ft. since that would affect those people's homes possibly in the future. The BIG meeting at the Sunshine Center, over 200 voted not to rezone beyond that or is my understanding of that incorrect? Steve, yes, you have been attacked from a few people but 200 vote NO, but you, FAiled quite a few by not supporting them when they needed you and that hurt them. Instead of apologizing, you started and have continued to be vicious in your writings, your threatning ways and using ''US'' as your pawns. I was quite embarrased to be a part of all of this. I have always been very fond of you and appreciate all the things you have done for this neighborhood but after seeing for myself how you are reacting to all of this disappoints me. Be professional and own up to any mistakes you have made. We all make them and I'm sure more people would accept apologies if you go about it the right way and the way you are approaching this is not right. Please quit these personal attacks. You keep saying this Board is at fault, but remember the numbers that voted against CVS's rezoning. Then, I spoke to several people about what happened at the meeting at the church. Even our group said you got out of hand. Why do you say for yourself of that meeting? Were you right to act in that way? I am very interested in your answers because through most of your postings you do not address these issues and if you want support you will have to so that we can make our own decisions.
Now, I will tell you that I will not sign by name because I know some of those people that tried to be honest with you and you just embarrased them by your replies. A leader should be open minded and now can see that you are not. In time, you will find out who I am because I will not be at your next meeting. Steve, be careful because you still have some support, but if you continue with your ways, you will loose the ones that are left.
