Well, well, well. Aren't we a tidey bunch. Earlier I called attention to the following posting and was told there was nothing wrong with it. If you doubt it, read the original entry in Lange's Special Meeting posting. When I called the webmaster's attention to it, (see caronald's posting about crime) all I got was I was doing Steve harm by pointing it out. There is a real double standard here. This web will tolerate this kind of name calling - and even endorse it as long as it is directed at Steve.

Bad language aside - good taste should rule this out. It is one additional lession that this chat shall contain nothing mean about greg and his board, but it is ok, supported and endorsed to say what we want about Steve. If trash talk - dresses up as it might be is ok that fornicate it.

Reread

Suggest you reread the response to your posting. It did not say that calling anyone foul names is o.k. It simply pointed out to you that name-calling is not a crime and is not in the same category as implying that people have committed some type of sexual crime. The postings calling Steve or anyone else names are offensive, rude, unkind, crass, and poor use of this website. The postings justifying inappropriate behavior by pointing out similar inappropriate behavior are the equivalent of what one hears from 8 year olds--''Mom, he called me a jerk first!!'' People who take fun and pleasure in ridiculing, attempting to embarrass, or in making slanderous statements about others are sadistic
and cruel. Promoting falsehoods as fact as occurs in many of Steve's postings is deplorable but not criminal and so are not censored. There are more effective ways for you to help Steve.

This is an obsurd posting. I am considered a ''sneaker'' by Steve, but I immediately posted a response to that posting and condemned it totally. (Even though I have been his target in many past postings.)

To say that it is Ok to say bad things about Steve and not about the board is ridiculous. To say it is supported and endorsed is even more ridiculous. None of it is!

And by none, I also include the older postings, with Steve's signature, which call people incompetent and ridicule in a very cruel way individuals by name.

Like I said, all of this name calling does nothing productive and is an embarrassment to all, no matter who does it and no matter who the target is.

Your second to the last sentence is a falsehood. I have never written any statement which I believed to be false. In the few instances I did make an error I apologized. In fact, I think I am the only one in the last three months which has admitted that he made a mistake in saying something and had the fortitude to apologize publicly here on this web site.

For all of the names that I have been called, for all of the crap anonymous writers have thrown in my direction, no one for the other side has ever stated their regrets or apologized in any way. (And simply stating, as some have, that such nasty postings should not be made, is in no way equal to telling the other side to stop and or to apologize.)

But, I have never intentionally made a false hood. And now, having said that, I also do not believe that I have many any other false statements except those that I apologized for.

Therefore, I do not believe that my actions or my postings are deplorable.
