This is a reminder that the public forum regarding the redevelopment of Sunken Gardens is this evening, Monday, March 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Sunshine Center. The controversial part of the plan is the request to vacate 18th Avenue in order to provide more parking
(208 spaces, still 50 shy of the City requirement). The Gardens plan to have a restaurant and Great Explorations Hands-on Museum housed in the building, which will be fully restored to its 1926 appearance.
