Welcome to all our members and community residents. To our members: we are into our 2001-2002 membership drive. If you paid your dues you should have received the new yellow diamond-shaped stickers. Please post these conspicuously on your house or car to show you are a member. To non-members: please consider joining the civic. Our purpose is to maintain the quality of life in the community and we can only do this if everyone participates in whatever way they can.
We really need some people to volunteer a little time to make the civic effective. There are so many different areas affecting our community that one or two people cannot handle. Ideally, we should have a person to handle each area of concern- tree pruning, graffiti street lights, streets, police, sanitation, environmental protection, buildings, and so on. If one person could concentrate on one item, we would get better results from city government.
