The Household special Waste Recycling Drop-off program has been expanded to the five boroughs. City residents can bring 10 quarts of motor oil, fluorescent light tubes up to four feet long, household batteries, five gallons of latex paint, rechargeable and automotive batteries, two motor oil filters, five quarts of transmission fluid, and two thermostats, to any of the locations. In Queens, the site is at 120-15 31st Avenue, near College Point Blvd in College Point; open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. . A NYS driver?’s license and vehicle registration with a NYC address is required. For more information call 212-219-8090.
