Forest Meadows Neighborhood Association

The TownCreek Board voted to have Forest Meadow join the Towncreek crimewatch program under the following terms:

1.Forest Meadow maintains a 70% membership ratio.

2. Start up cost of $15.00 per crimewatch member (for signs, stickers, info sheets, cost to input names) and then quarterly dues of $90.00 per quarter.

The $15 and $90 for 1st quarter payable up front and then members will
receive quarterly bills at first of quarter along with Towncreek members. Town Creek actually sends quarterly invoices to all homeowners because some new ones move in, etc.,

3. Start June 1 with start of quarter (if we are ready)

4. Towncreek remains in control of the program; however, we can have
monthly meetings between our crimewatch heads to go over issues, solutions,
info, etc.

5. Either group can give notice to terminate Forest Meadow's participation
at end of any quarter Forest Meadow crimewatch group will provide main person power to distribute new member packages, signs, etc.

6. We will slowly add some hours to the current hours per month (we average
320 per month now) as $$ roll in and we establish need and find suitable
officers

7. We need to sign an agreement between our crimewatch group and yours.

These are the main points our board. discussed. Can you think of any more?

Close Patrol

How is the response to enrollment into the Close Patrol going. My own thought is that it will be difficult to get and sustain 70% participation in the support of Close Patrol. Several years ago when Meadowknoll was on the front lines we had a presentation at Skyview by a professional security group offering home security installations and daily patrols for $20 per month.

We got NO takers. Most of us on Meadowknoll now have security systems, burgular bars, and nite lites. As far as I know we have not had a home breakin since installing those. Before every Home on our block had been broken into.

To me it is so important to organize a neighborhood watch with people walking their dogs, immediate notification of suspicious activity, everyone aware of the proper numbers or individuals to notify of illegal or suspicious activity, and most important of all neighbors watching neighbors houses.
