barking dogs

"WHAT IF????" what if frogs had wings????

We own dogs...we don't let them bark...we respect our neighbors...these goons that let their dogs bark day and night don't! How does your analogy make ANY sense? "...infant with colic is HARDLY the same thing as a sonic-attack on a neighborhood from a dog, day and night !!!!

I own 3 dogs and 2 cats- my dogs are my family. They even have their own bedroom!!

Kids and dogs are a different story! You are obviously missing the point- people who shouldn't have dogs HAVE them, and let them become nuisances to the neighborhood at large!

My dogs are inside the house by 9:00 pm, and outside 7:00 am- so they won't bark and wake up the neighbors, unlike several other dog owners in my neighborhood.

A barking dog (non-stop) is the sign of a neglectful owner, and a bored dog!

My neighbors kids yell and scream starting at 7:00 am, and don't stop until 11:00 pm, when they go to bed. They let out blood curdling screams which causes me to jump up and run outside because it sounds like they are hurt.

Is that appropriate that my neighbors, who do not provide adequate supervision to their children, bother ALL of us?

We got together as a community, and called CPS, because as it turns out, one day, I didn't run out, and my neighbor was upset with me, because her little girl fell and broke her arm. I am not their babysitter, nor have I ever offered, when there are 5 adults living in the house, and 3 of them are home all the time!

After speaking to the parents and grandparents on SEVERAL occasions, and no action was taken, neighbors again called CPS, and they have finally come and spoken to EVERYONE in that household. The kids are no longer screaming, and keeping us awake, or waking us up in the morning.

Nothing like buying a house, and not being able to enjoy it due to inconsiderate neighbors!

I think that you need to find out ther circumstances, and then make a judgement on the other person and I, rather than make an assumption. There is a difference between a dog barking for enjoyment (when they see other dogs, like mine do), or for protection, compared to a dog barking needlessly because it is bored.

Kids and dogs should be noisy to a degree, just not when it erodes neighbor's quality of life!

went to Humane Society since the city has abdicated its responsibility in any other way to enforce noise abatement. Was told, "barking dogs...that's what dogs do"!!!! Idiot.

With that response, The Humane Socirty lost my family as a contributor to them. I'd like to see a Human Humane Society that places noise abatement at the top of "quality-of-life issues for Pasadena citizens.
