NEW MEANING TO SPRING-CLEANNING!

Rebuilding Together With
CHRISTMAS IN APRIL
SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2002

Our huge Spring-cleaning begins Saturday, April 7, 2002. This is to prepare for EVENT DAY when Rebuilding Together With Christmas in April *Greater San Diego will be working on houses that will repair in Fox Canyon. Christmas in April is rehabbing FIVE homes on Lantana, ONE on Dwight, ONE on Castle and ONE on Reno, for a total of EIGHT! What a clean up this will be!

You will be able to see the remarkable difference and visual impact that this blessing will have on the whole neighborhood. Price Charities is providing a team of volunteers that will help rehab two homes on Lantana, in addition, to sponsoring ALL the Fox Canyon homes.

On the day of the event, APRIL 20, 2002, volunteers from the San Diego Padres, Tierrasanta Kiwanis Club, Orchids and Onions, University Mechanical, SPAWARS, Chinese Bible Church, IBEW Local #569, Carpenters Local #547 and Job Corp will descend on our hood to help put the NEIGHBOR into it!

The MISSION of "Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April*Greater San Diego is a volunteer organization that forms partnerships with corporations, individuals and other organizations committed to improving our community by rehabilitating the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence."

Companies such as Sundt, Zigman Shields, Law Crandall, Soltek, Schuss-Clark, University Mechanical, Raley Construction and Burger Construction will provide the leading trade volunteers who will direct the work done to the target homes.

In all, about two hundred volunteers will make Fox Canyon their homes during this rehabilitation project. Let us receive them with clean streets and well-manicured front yards, a warm, humble and thankful spirit and a very happy smile. But the most important part is let us get ready to help and to join-in the celebration of renewal that our neighborhood is about to witness.

Such neighborhood metamorphosis is only obtained when partners gather to work energized by the love of their neighbors in charitable labor.

To make April 20, a very successful day, the Association needs a team of volunteers to help welcome everyone. In addition, the association will provide the setup/takedown of the LUNCH facilities and the clean up. We need YOU to help in every one way you can.
