During the recent town hall meetings regarding the unincorporation meeting approximately 25-30 people professed their interest in becoming members of the roads committee.
At the meeting last night (May 22) 7 people showed up to serve on 4 committees. Granted 4 people could not attend the meeting and still wanted to be placed on one of the four committees. To the rest of you, WHERE WERE YOU and WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR INTEREST IN SERVING THE TOWN.
I have found this fairly typical of the residents of this town. Talking about your interest is one thing but to actually have to back up your words with action is another. If you have so little interest in serving your neighbors and yourself, STOP THE GRIPING ABOUT THE ROADS.
Another meeting for the paving and/or alternatives is scheduled for next Tuesday (7:00 p.m.) at the Fire House. If you are interested in serving on this committee, ''PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS''.
