Security Alert- Mail theft

Today, October 14, somebody stole a letter from a neighbor's mailbox. The letter was placed in the mailbox, so that the mailman could pick it up when delivering mail.

Please make sure that you do not place outgoing mail in your mailbox. In a earlier day gone by, it was safe to have your mailman pick up mail from your home. It no longer is safe. People will take your mail and "wash" the check and then cash it. It is fraud and can lead to identity theft.

Please be careful and do not leave letter or "bills" in your mailbox.
