Fraser Fields: A Gated Community?

Proposal to become a gated community?

Last summer interest was expressed by many residents in the neighborhood in becoming a gated community. An inquiry was made to the City in August of 2001 regarding the necessary requirements to gate the neighborhood. The City provided us the necessary information and an estimate in September of 2001 to become a gated community in Mesa.

The following information was provided:

The Solid Waste Department would continue to provide trash service.They would simply require access to the neighborhood through the gate.
Fire and Police protection would continue to be provided and would also require access through the gate. New Street name signs and a turn around radius with side walks and curbing would be required at the entrance gates.
Gating the community would require almost 100% approval from residents within the neighborhood.
