I am a graduate student at UT and I am researching the Creoles of Texas and California. I stumbled upon this link, but I am not sure anybody still uses it...
I am looking for information about the Creoles of Frenchtown, and I want to research their sense of community and identity, and for this I need to find out where they met, what schools they went to, if there are any articles you've read.
I also heard Frenchtown even had a newspaper, but I cannot find out what the name of that newspaper was.
I am considering going to Houston if I find enough information.
