Thursday July 8th began a much needed spruce-up for the 700' Milton Wilson easement.
We had 5 hard working volunteers lend a hand on Thursday.
If you see or know our volunteers, please take a moment to thank them for their time and efforts.
Our volunteers were Joanie Moore, Kevin Carter, Lori Shackelford, Sylvia Sachs and Tim Brown. They began the clean-up end of the project which included weeding and trimming the plants and trees in the Brick Gardens and edging the sidewalks along the easement area.
Kevin Carter, who is organizing this project, had anticipated it would take at least two separate clean-ups, and he seemed to be right on target as we ran out of light before we ran out of work to do.
The second installment of Kevin Cartrer's cleanup project gets under way this Saturday JULY 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM.
We need more volunteers and tools. We would like to borrow some gas weedeaters, leaf blowers, and bush trimmers from any neighbors that currently have them. We also need more hands. If you can volunteer some time please meet us at the Milton Wilson easement area this Saturday, JULY 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM.
If you can't make it to the clean-up, but you would like to lend us a tool to use for the clean-up, please call Kevin Carter at 867-2448.
Thank You,
Hope To See You There
