Since 1986 Jefferson County residents in some areas have been under a ''Compact'' established between the city and the county for the sole purpose of making sure that no unicorporated areas annex with the city of Louisville or with a nearby small city.
Now that merger has passed the compact is due to be dissolved as of 2003. Do we sit and wait once again for the permission of a few in power to request increased services or do we petion for annexation?
