Friends of the Cabildo proudly presents a most unique and successful fundraiser for the 13th straight year, Ghostly Galavant. Ghosts will haunt French Quarter patios and tell their colorful stories on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday October 31, 1999. On both days, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., escorted tours will depart every 20 minutes from the 1850 House Museum Store, 523 St. Ann Street on Jackson Square. During the two-hour tour, you will meet interesting and important characters who have shaped New Orleans' past.
Some of the apparitions to appear during this haunting will be Edgar Degas, Margaret Haugherty, John Law, and Jenny Lind. Different characters will be featured in the private courtyards on Saturday and Sunday, so plan to come both days.
Adult tickets are $15, with a $2 dicount to members of the Friends of the cabildo who present their membership cards. Children 8 and under, accompanied by an adult, $8. The ticket price includes refreshment at the final stop.
Tickets can be purchased at the start of each tour. For more information, please call the Friends' office at (504) 523-3939. Be part of the show- come in costume!!
