This year, the American Lung Association of Delaware has a very ambitious plan for helping the thousands of Delawareans affected by lung disease. In addition to raising money to fund research, we will also provide programs to help children and families with asthma (including a summer camp program); support those with COPD, lung cancer and other respiratory illnesses; prevent people from starting to smoke and help those who already do to stop smoking; and ensure that Delaware's air remains clean and smoke-free.
Our annual Walk for Life & Breath is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2008 at DelCastle Recreation Area in Wilmington, DE and I would like to reach out to Midtown Brandywine Neighbors to help us spread the word of our upcoming event. We are currently looking for sponsors at all levels, but most importantly family and corporate walk teams. The walk is expected to engage about 250-300 people and will be a morning full of fun activities for all ages. You can visit our walk site at http://www.mrsnv.com/evt/home.jsp?id=2072.
On behalf of Delawareans affected by asthma and other lung diseases, we hope we can count on you for your support, and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you or your organization about our programs or building a new relationship. For your convenience, I have attached information for your members if they are interested. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the information below.
