Officers & Steering Members Needed
As November quickly approaches, not only are we looking at local, state and federal elections at the polls, Gaffney Lane N.A. is electing new officers.
The main purpose of the September General meeting on the 20th will be to organize a
Nominating committee. This committee will provide nominations for each position. Nominating committee members are barred from becoming a nominee for an office and will disband after making it?’s presentation.
The officers and steering committee members elected at the November General
membership meeting will serve for a one year term. The four officers include:
* Chairman
* Vice-Chairman
* Secretary
* Treasurer
The committee will also be looking for members for the Steering committee, a committee made up of the four officers and a minimum of six additional members. This committee coordinates all activities of the association by reviewing, discussing and referring issues for a vote by the membership at general meetings.
