Every Wednesday and Saturday morning when I walk my dogs I end up picking up garbage right where Gablebend Way and Berrywood Lane meet in Oakwood Village. I am not sure which house is continuing to put their garbage outside the night before but by morning it is torn to shreds and the garbage is all over the grass and street. The people don't seem to notice because it is never picked up. If the people on Gablebend Way can just double check with their neighbors who maybe are not logged on here to let them know that only those units with garages are supposed to put their trash out to be picked up and it should only be placed out in the morning and not the day of. Hopefully we can clean it up... literally Laughing

I love that you bring this up. Some are probably starting to wonder about me in Brentwood. They probably think I am a crazy bag lady. Everyday when I walk my dog I literally take 6 grocery bags with me to pick up all of the trash and other people's dog pooh that they leave on the ground. I am a renter here but I can tell you I treat my place as if it were my own and I treat this neighborhood with respect. I was very excited to move in - until I actually did. It pains me to see how much trash people let fall out of their trash cans or fly out of their car windows on the Royal Hampton (the entrance street). I have actually put in a request to Hillsborough County to Adopt A Street to keep it clean. I also contacted the person who owns the cow pasture land behind Brentwood to tell him about all of the black & mild cigarette tips and Bud cans that were being thrown on to his property. Sadly someone on a DAILY basis goes back there drinks a ton of Bud and leaves the cans there. They wised up to the fact that I was picking them up and guess thought it would be funny to throw over the barbed wire fence so I couldn't get to them. Fortunately I had met Larry (the landowner) before and had his contact number and he came and picked them up Saturday. I may be a renter but I know I speak for the person who owns my unit when it comes to the condition of The Hammocks and some of the unsavory behavior taking place in here. I almost contemplating buying but doubt I would now. I think it's great that someone brought up the fact that trash should not be put out the night before. I love the sandhill cranes that hang out in the neighborhood but have you seen what they can do to some trash. :-)
