I am so grateful for the new landscaping on Mars, as you enter off of Firewheel Parkway.

I was hoping to see a little bit nicer landscaping applied to the corner where the pool is located. Are there plans to ''pretty up'' that corner? I would be willing to lend some of my time to help with planting on a weekend if needed. The area surrounding the pool is beautiful and lush and I just do not think that corner serves it justice.

Regarding the plans within our own neighborhood, our landscaping company has let us know we have some drainage problems with the current flower bed. We don't have any major plans to make changes there right now. We're focusing on maintenance for the pool and improvements to the pavilion before pool season this summer.

I guess the best way to get proven wrong is to open my mouth. You can ignore my other response. It was posted the day before the May board meeting.

At the meeting, the board approved accepting a bid from our landscaping company to make the upgrades. They'll improve the beds, and plant some new, drought-tolerant, and colorful plants.
