I live on the McKenzie River, Oregon. There is a slum landlord who rents out a condemned house next door to me. I am a disabled combat veteran that has to put up with a carless neighbor and his guns.
He shoots at all times of the day. His roomate shot my house sitters car in February while I was on vacation. I called the Sherrif's office to come out. After 45 minutes of talking, they decided to come out.
He spoke to the guy that shot the car, but said that since it happened the day before, that he could not do anything. The neighbor even admitted to shooting my friends car.
I have called the police a few times; I've called the city, country offices, and had not luck getting anything done. It is at the point where I am having to give up my first home for sale, at a loss, just to get away from these people.
I sent a certified letter to the owner of the property with no response. I have explained my conditioned with P.T.S.D. to her (owner), the neighbor, and the police. No one cares..The neighbor seems to have all the rights here. I went to another neighbor for help, even though they don't like the neighbor either, they don't want to get involved.
I called an attorney, but it will cost money I don't have to file paperwork for a nuisance complaint. If there is someone that can help me, please respond.
