We've had problems getting our evergreens to take root. We moved in mid-winter and the replacement trees went in right before the summer drought! Despite daily watering, ours appear to have died again within a month. According to the landscapers and Billy, the construction manager from RA, these types of trees need a LOT of initial watering... 5-10 gallons of water at the base of each tree every day when first planted. The leaves should also be watered frequently. We were told to literally open the hose and let it run at the base of each tree for 5-10 minutes each...
Dead Bushes

We were told the same thing about our bushes, and they all died again! I will be getting ready to send a formal complaint! Thanks for the info.
