What does everyone think about having to use this new garbage company?

I phoned Douglas Property and spoke with a representative, she stated that it is not a requirement to change. I will not be changing as my current Trash Fee is $34.00 every three months.

I have a problem with any one garbage collection for the entire sub-division. If you aren't getting good service, you have no alternatives. Also, how many trash bags can we have, is grass clippings included, what about haveing a 2 times a year bulk pick-up?

I want to clarify that you do not have to change to the new trash company. It is up to you whether you stay with your current company or change to the new company. They are offering personalized trash cans, Monday pick ups, free trash removal for the amenities center and a rebate back to the community at the end of the year. On top of that they have brand new trucks that should reduce/eliminate the spills that we currently get from the trash companies that service our neighborhood. If they fail to perform you always have the option to terminate their service and go with another company. They have told us that they will be very flexible with large pickups. As long as it is not a on-going issue they will not charge extra. We are supporting them because they are a local company that is very customer service oriented. I hope this helps clarify any issues you might have.
