Please remember that there are people walking and children playing in this neighborhood. since we have no thru-streets, almost everyone driving in this neighborhood is either a resident or a guest of a resident. Please remind your friends and family to drive safely near our homes.
Several neighbors have mentioned this problem to me, and I had also noticed it, but Friday afternoon, (Aug 6) I was walking down Oak St. I was walking on the far left hand side of the street and moved over into the grass when I heard a vehicle coming over the hill. Fortunately, I was alone and did not have my son's stroller to deal with. Had I had Jeffrey with me, there is a very good chance thatwe would have gotten hit. A red compact-sized truck with an extended cab came flying over the hill and did not even slow down when he saw me walking.
PLEASE talk to your friends and family about the speeding-especially the young drivers.

Speeding

I agree, people are going WAY too fast. If we can not slow down, I WILL be taking plate numbers. We have many hidden driveways, some on hills, you have to pray before you turn on to the street, that you will not get hit. It would be sad if we have to have speed bumps, but frankly, I do not see any other way around this problem.
