It appears that instead of ranting and raving about the lack of a Homeowner's Association and singing the praises of ''Association Living'' that you should have investigated the governing documents for Timberlake.
Had you been competent, aware and done your WHOLE job as a homebuyer, you would have read the CC&Rs prior to your purchase. I did and the fact that Timberlake has a street and landscape maintenance association only is one of the determining factors in our decision to buy here. The abuses of associations are notorious, well documented and ongoing. One only need read the newspaper on a weekly basis to hear of new abuses by some facist, dictatorial excuse for a Homeowner's Association.
Don't start crying for your vision of an association at this late date because you failed (the blame is squarely on you) to do your homework at the time you purchased. Don't try to harness those of us with presence of mind to your broken wagon. If you want to live under association rules, then move to Summerlin, Green Valley, or some other community that offers what you seek. There are many of them.
