We are a cat rescue organization and learned that there is a colony of feral cats somewhere in Seneca Woods, Germantown, MD.  I've been doing research on line and found this.  We are anxious to help, to trap, to rescue, foster, adopt if possible as many cats as possible.  We take them to the vet for shots and neutering.  Please someone contact me, although I'll only be at this email address for two more days and then I'm leaving the area:  jacqueline.stone@science.doe.gov or 301-337-1289.  The next person to contact is Janet Lamkin at j.lamkin@comcast.net.  She is with the Friends of Montgomery County Animals (FMCA).  Actually contact anyone at that shelter/rescue organization and let them know that Janet, et al are hopefully onto the right area that we heard about of 15-16 feral cats.  We do more than the ASPCA and please don't shoot or harm animals is a crime if observed as animal cruelty, instead contact a group like FMCA.

You need to get a TNR, trap/neuter/return organization to help.  This will greatly reduce the cat population.  With it being a townhome community any new cat that arrives would have to be trapped and altered.  You set up feeding stations away from the home and provide shelters.  The problem will be humanely solved.

and the cats can get vaccinated and altered for free!!  Contact me for more information, etteeith@aol.com
