Well, Field Day is almost here and I would like to thank all those who have been working behind the scenes to make our first event successful. In terms of attendance, we really don?’t know what to expect, but I think we will get some visitors from the public. I haven?’t heard back from Jonathan, KG6TPZ to what extent advertising has been done for Field day.
I know Andy, W6LDS has been working many hours on his mobile tower, and I cleaned and refurbished Andy?’s 20 meter yagi for it. Roy, KG6RGD and Ray, KE6DOJ helped me to successfully assemble and test it at the main facility last Saturday.
We will be begin setting up at about 1 pm on Friday,June 25 with Rob, KE6YGFand Andy, W6LDS will be pulling in later in the afternoon. Our goal is to have all the canopies and tables set up by early Friday evening.
I would like Andy, W6LDS, Rob, KE6YGF, Keith, KG6TPU, Ray, KE6DOJ and Donny, KF6HZX to meet at the information table at 8 pm to receive instructions on logging and to pick up their log sheets.
By the way we are going to be accompanied by a local scout troop which has gained permission to camp out on the lawn Friday evening. This is your opportunity to show these youg men the best of the ham radio world.
