The Glendora Emergency response Communications group will be conducting its third Technician radio operator's class in January 2006. Here are some details about the class:

Becoming a Ham
The FCC exam does not require Morse code, and the class is designed for those with no technical or math background. The Technician license qualifies you to transmit on many frequencies, including those that are used by the Glendora Emergency Response Communications network.
Test Details
The test has 35 multiple-choice questions and no time limit. You can miss up to 9 questions! (74% correct) The questions are taken from the official FCC "pool" of 510 questions. Each possible question is in the book along with the correct answers, explanations, graphics and memory aids. There are no surprise questions ever! Most of the questions are based on common sense rules similar to a DMV test.

Class Dates & Times:

Thursday, 1/12/06. 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Friday, 1/13/06, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Saturday, 1/14/06. Continental Breakfast 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM start to 4:30 PM w/lunch.

Exam: Wednesday, 1/18/06 , 7:00 pm. Typically, it takes less than ?½ hour to complete the exam. Exam Fee $12.00
