Technician Licensing Class

The GERC sponsored Technician Element 2 licensing class was held January 12, 13 and 14 2005 at the Oakbank facility in Glendora. There were 14 participants in attendance for this three day crash course. The instructors were Keith, KG6TPU, Mark, KF6DSA, and Roy, KG6RGD.

Rob, KE6YGF demonstrated his RC airplane and model rocket, and Ray KE6DOJ demonstrated his emergency radio equipment.

A great continental breakfast and luncheon was prepared by Rob KE6YGF and Jessica KG6WFH. Ray, KE6DOJ and Ben KG6SJF assisted in the kitchen.

The class went well and was followed up with a practice test. The licensing exam was held on Wednesday, January 18. There were 16 examinees and all but 2 passed.

There will be a General class study group formed in the near future to assist hams in preparing for their next level.
