NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE

If we don''t take time to reflect on our goals for the new year at its start, there is a good chance it won''t happen. So a number of Golden Triangle Neighborhood Association members were asked to give their 1999 new year''s resolutions or wishes for the Golden Triangle. Following are the unedited responses.

Chuck Haas, Aspen Commercial Security - Restore Delaware Street to two-way traffic

Janis Frame, Balustrade resident, board member - Continue to build a strong community working together to make the Golden Triangle our home

Anne Warhover, Downtown Denver Partnership and board member - Complete the Acoma streetscape improvements

Cherie Kirschbaum, Balustrade resident, board member - encourage and promote participation in the GTNA from everyone who lives, works, and owns property in the Golden Triangle so that all views are considered and together we can strengthen our community

George Corson, DARCO Dictating and Recording Co., - Development, by definition, is on-going and the Gol-den Triangle has certainly seen its share of development in recent years, but it would be a relief if all of the loft-type construction projects were magically completed and occupied.

Kent Rickenbaugh, Rickenbaugh Cadillac/Volvo, board member - Get the 800 Broadway office building out of the ground

George Rock, Bank of Denver - Not to work on any BID''''s in 1999, at least through January

Mickey Zeppelin, Zeppelin & Co, board member - A wish that all businesses, residents, and property owners, old and new, will evolve into a cohesive, caring community

Jo Garrett, Sir Speedy Printing - Trim the fat from the budget and increase profit

Georgie Contiguglia, Colorado Historical Society, executive director- The Colorado Historical Society is thrilled with the positive changes we see in our neighborhood - Denver''''s Golden Triangle. We plan to be enthusiastic contributors to the activities that will go on in 1999, beginning with First Night, the family New Year''s celebration of arts and culture, which we hosted at the Colorado History Museum, and which we hope will be a warm up for an exciting millennium celebration next year. In between these two events, the Colorado History Museum will experience some physical improvements that will bring new visibility to our museum facility. We have family days and Colorado Day activities in the plans as well, so we anticipate a banner year for the Golden Triangle and for the Colorado History Museum and the Byers-Evans House.
