To signs
Amen to that ! I know neighbors that think I'm over protected of my kids, but can you imagine, walking out on the street and seeing your kid laying there after being hit by a car ?
Wake up people !!
BTW,don't we have a leash law ? What was that dog doing, running around loose ?

Dog in street
First of all this little dog has never gone in the street before, it does not matter why the dog was in the street, it was! The point is someone was speeding through the neighborhood and KILLED a pet, left it in the street for all of the Elementary buses to see. This dog was killed as some of your kids were standing waiting for the bus.It could have been a child. I see cars speed thought this neighborhood everyday. I have been passed on Big Bear Ave by people I know who live here. It is a fact in Big Bear cars have to respect people in the streets there is not always a side walk to walk on. Also that morning as I was standing in the street, so no one else would hit the dog cars were flying by me as if I was not there. I do not know if the person that killed the dog was from our neighborhood but we all need to slow down before something else happens.

precisely my point. If the speed limit was being followed (resident or not) they should have been able to stop.I feel sorry for the family who lost their pet. My consolences to your family.

to dog in the street
Why are you assuming that the person was speeding ? That dog could have very easily darted out on the street and the driver had no chance to stop.If that dog was in the back yard where it belongs, we wouldn't be talking about this. I can promise you if a dog runs out in front of me, I'm not going to put my family in danger by swerving.
DOGS DON'T BELONG IN THE STREET !
