Frank Foote is the animal control officer for Ketchum but he also provides services to GLT residents. If you see an unleashed animal running loose in the neighborhood, please do not hesitate to call him. Work 782-2244; Cell 782-3753.
The Towne of Grand Lake has a skunk trap if needed. Marshamallows are used to draw the skunk into the trap made of a small PVC pipe with a door. One the door falls, the skunk cannot lift its tail to spray. The skunk can then be drowned in a trash can filled with water or in the lake. The trap is usually kept at the Mayor's house.
GLTPOA has purchased a larger animal trap that is perfect for racoons and armadillos. Contact the GLTPOA President if you need to borrow it. Unlike the skunks, these animals can be released away from GLT without harming them.
