GLT Fire Protection

Fire protection for homes located within Grand Lake Towne is provided by the Ketchum Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD). Calls to 911 are received by the dispatch service located in Vinita and the members of KVFD are paged.

Annual Subscription to KVFD

All homeowners are encouraged to pay a subscription of $50 per year to the KVFD which entitles your home to unlimted runs during the year. If the subscription is not paid, each run costs $500.

Insurance companies are prohibited by law from rating your home at a lower fire protection district rate without proof of a paid subscription. More importantly, your subscription helps to maintain equipment and enable the fire department to respond to emergencies.
